Adding a season
To add a new season, click the ADD NEW button and select or enter all of the requested info.
Details
As most of your new season details are likely to be similar to the previous season, the form will be pre-filled with details to save you time - edit these as needed.
Your season title usually would relate to the years it is played in e.g. "2016/17" but you can call your season whatever you like.
To ensure that all of your data is displayed correctly, you should always start a new season the day after the end date of the previous season.
Home match venue - Add details of your usual "home" ground/pitch. This could be really useful for your opponents especially if it isn't that easy to find! Once set, anyone can quickly see a map with directions from their starting point.
To set your venue for the current season, click the "Home match venue" input and search for your venue. Select the closest matching result from the list.
[If no matches are shown then use the "ADD NEW" link and try some different keywords as the "search term" until your venue is found. Amend/complete the other details as required and click OK]
Once your venue has been selected, make sure the address is correct (amend if necessary) and then add some "additional location information" as needed - this could be specific directions once at the venue e.g. the Pitch number or any other useful info which may be of help to people trying to find it.
Once saved, these venue details will be viewable from the left menu: Team Info->Where We Play
League
By adding your league and division details you are able to link to your league's website and always show the latest league table.
"FA Full-Time" is a system used by many leagues in England - you will know if this applies to you. By creating a link between your TeamStats team site and your team on the FA Full-Time system you can seamlessly import your league table, results, match fixtures and player details.
If you are a "Full Time" user then search for your team name and select the matching team from the list - check the league and division name.
Otherwise, enter your league and division details and then copy and paste your league table URL from your league's website - this will create the link to your league table.
Once set, your league table can be viewed by all from the left menu->League Table.
Financial
By setting your default financial information for your season, financial charges to your team members will be automatically generated, potentially saving you a lot of time.
Appearance Charges
When you add a "match report" and specify who took part in the match (starting line-up and substitutes on/off), the amounts you set here will be used to create "charges" for your players. You are able to override these players on a match-by-match or player-by-player basis as needed. All match charges can be viewed from the "Finances/Events" section.
Disciplinary Fines
When you add a "match report" and add details of any yellow or red cards shown to your players, the values set here will be used to create charges.
Auto charge players
If set to "YES", a charge will automatically be applied to the players finances. Use this when you expect your players to pay their own fines.
Auto charge team
Set to "YES" if you want a debit to be automatically applied to the team finances for all cards entered in match reports.
Set to "NO" if you would rather manually record this payment when you actually pay (e.g. wait for notification from your league of the fine amount).
